Position Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing tender packages, developing cost estimates, and supporting pitch presentations to potential clients. This full-time, in-office position requires a deep understanding of the ICI construction sector and a proven track record of excellence in estimating for similar projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate tender packages, including cost breakdowns and project timelines.
- Cost Estimation: Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to create precise cost estimates.
- Client Interaction: Actively participate in pitch presentations to clientele, showcasing expertise and building strong professional relationships.
- Market Analysis: Research and source material, labor, and subcontractor costs to maintain competitive and realistic estimates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
- Compliance: Ensure all estimates comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the ICI construction industry.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
- Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Location Requirement: Must be able to work on-site at the Oakville office five days a week.
