We are looking for a General Manager with a passion for hospitality to lead our newest venue in Beamsville!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all winery and hospitality operations including production, vineyard management, restaurant, tasting room and event space
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue within private events, dining spaces and wine sales
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Carmen's Group vision and strategy
  • Develop and lead a dedicated team to ensure a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
  • Compile and present KPI data for strategic team meetings
  • Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors, suppliers and other external stakeholders to establish and nurture strong relationships
  • Supervise, and provide advice, support, coaching, and direction to all team members embodying the Carmens Group leadership practices
  • Be on site to oversee execution of key events and busy revenue days
  • Promote and live the purpose, vision and values of the Carmen's Group both internally and externally to promote a positive culture and sense of community
  • Oversee financial management including budget creation with the Director of Finance, cost control and revenue generation
  • Inspect property and coordinate services to ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory requirements
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in winery or beverage management is required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • 3+ years in restaurant operations and/or private event business
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in facility management
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in generating sales
  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and presenting financial data metrics
  • Resourceful and resilient, possessing a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, loyalty, and a strong commitment to achievement and client satisfaction
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic, team oriented, positive, and energetic with a great sense of humour
  • Flexible work schedule including days, evenings and weekends
