About the Role
The Senior Hydrogeologist is responsible for providing technical input/services in their area of expertise and directing the collection, management, and interpretation of hydrogeological data for remediation, reclamation, or resource development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior hydrogeological technical input to projects throughout Ensero.
- Technical communications, including report writing and reviewing.
- Conduct, interpret and report on hydrogeological and water studies.
- Scope and lead (as needed) fieldwork on hydrogeological and geotechnical programs including monitoring, supervision of borehole drilling, and monitoring well installation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations of hydrogeologic investigations to internal and external clients.
- Develop conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models to support environmental impact assessments, permitting, water treatment and remediation projects for Ensero clients.
- Interpret aquifer tests, characterize aquifers based on maps and other spatial data, and perform spatial analysis.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
- Lead the development of proposals for potential new business.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for junior hydrogeologists.
- Monitor and promote environmental health and worker safety.
- All other related duties as required.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in a related science (geology, environmental science or engineering).
- Master's/Doctorate level degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in mining or environmental consulting with demonstrated success in groundwater modelling and groundwater programs.
- Familiarity with mine permit applications and environmental assessments is an asset.
- Experience with hydrogeological modelling software (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of hydrogeological study design and comfort integrating with multi-disciplinary studies.
- Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication
