We are looking for motivated Program Support Worker to join our Vancouver Early Learning Team!

PROGRAM:

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada - Early Learning Programs

POSITION FUNCTION:

The Program Support Worker provides administrative and services support for the Early Learning Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Office Management/Business Administration diploma/certificates and/or appropriate combination of experience and training
  • Excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and standard office equipment
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient organizational abilities: able to set priorities and meet deadlines; able to multi-task
  • Able to work independently and with a team,
  • Must possess sound judgement and initiative
  • Experience and sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of immigrant populations, their children and people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to speak in Arabic will be considered an asset
  • Criminal record check required

Application Requirements:

  • Before applying, you must be legally permitted to work in Canada through citizenship or permanent residence status. If you have a work permit, please ensure it allows you to work for duration of posting.

HOURS:

12 hours weekly Tuesday - Friday

Candidate must be able to commute to Vancouver Group Daycare (2710 Commercial Drive Vancouver).

BENEFITS:

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
