West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Vancouver Corporate office is currently recruiting for a Senior Treasury Analyst.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for day-to-day operations within treasury.

You'll Do:

  • Global cash management for multiple subsidiaries in North America and Europe
  • Work closely with accounting teams to provide reconciliation support over Treasury activities
  • Work closely with tax and financial reporting teams to optimize corporate structure
  • Monitor and maintain adherence to investment policy in conjunction with maximizing returns
  • Support treasury operations processes including payment runs and vendor callbacks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams as required
  • Ensure banking administration is up-to-date
  • Administer and review bank lines and credit facilities
  • Short-term investing or borrowing strategies and execution
  • Recommend foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies, and support team execution of foreign exchange for the consolidated group
  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls and make recommendations to improve West Fraser and Treasury processes and systems
  • Ad hoc projects and/or research as required

You'll Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, accounting, or equivalent business experience
  • Seven to ten years' experience in accounting and/or corporate treasury
  • Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of legal entities and cash management for an international organization
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization and financial institutions
  • Ability to work independently applying appropriate judgment
  • An accounting designation is an asset
  • Experience working in a corporate environment is an asset

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The annual salary range is between

    $82,296 - $96,700.

  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based
  • May require occasional travel
