Lakeland Credit Union is looking for a Full-Time dedicated Member Service Advisor to join their team.

Location: Bonnyville, Alberta

Role: Full time, Monday to Friday

Wages: Starting $22.97

Position Overview: As a Member Service Advisor, you'll be the welcoming face of Lakeland Credit Union, providing personalized and friendly service to their members. You will assist with day-to-day banking transactions, respond to inquiries, identify member needs, and recommend LCU products that support their financial goals. They value strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn—no prior banking experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and provide a personalized, friendly experience.
  • Assist members with financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and bill payments, money orders, and foreign currency exchanges.
  • Identify member needs and provide recommendations for LCU products and services.
  • Update the Member Relationship Management (MRM) tool with member interactions.
  • Educate members on mobile banking applications to help them manage their banking needs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of LCU products and services, referring members to advisors as needed.
  • Ensure transactions are balanced daily in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Assist with daily branch operations, including ATM servicing.
  • Maintain compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to security procedures, including acting as a joint custodian on specified combinations, night deposits, and safety deposit boxes.
  • Participate in performance planning and be accountable for your training and development needs.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment that promotes exceptional member service.
  • Collaborate and maintain respectful relationships with all members and team members.
  • Support the Lead, Member Services in achieving department goals and objectives.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure maximum efficiency each day.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or cash handling experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
