ABOUT THIS ESTIMATION ROLE

Work Schedule & Location: This full-time estimation role is based in Calgary, AB with some travel to job sites as required. You will be working Monday to Friday from Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.

Your Role: As a Commercial Plumbing Estimator, your day starts with analyzing project plans, specifications, and blueprints to create accurate, detailed plumbing estimates for our commercial construction projects. From material and labor takeoffs to cost analysis, you ensure every dollar is accounted for without compromising on quality. In this estimation position, you also prepare comprehensive bids, build relationships with subcontractors and vendors, and stay on top of deadlines to keep projects running smoothly. In this role, your keen eye for detail and knack for cost-saving will help uphold Wiehler's reputation for excellence.

The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:

• 3+ years in commercial plumbing estimating, with a successful track record in large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, methods, and local building codes
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Tradesware), Microsoft Office, and other industry tools
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of BIM and LEED standards
• Certification as a plumbing estimator
