We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Technician to play a crucial role in ensuring our produce meets the highest standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Optimize Operations: Use Ridder Productive software to assess worker activities and enhance labor efficiency.
- Oversee Quality Standards: Monitor and evaluate produce quality during harvest, packaging, and shipping stages.
- Lead Food Safety Initiatives: Implement and uphold food safety protocols to deliver safe and top-quality products.
- Train and Support Staff: Conduct training sessions to improve team practices and elevate procedural standards.
- Manage IPM Audits: Oversee Integrated Pest Management (IPM) using biologicals, organic pesticides, and cultural control techniques.
- Solve Production Challenges: Identify, prevent, and resolve quality issues, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Quality Control Expertise: Minimum of 3 years in a QC/QA role, ideally within a greenhouse or production environment.
- Experience with Certifications: Knowledge of GlobalGAP or similar certification schemes, with an understanding of organic regulations.
- Process Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to finding and implementing process improvements.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English skills; Spanish is an asset.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Proven ability to address challenges and meet goals with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Team-Oriented: Hands-on experience and a collaborative attitude are essential.
- Competitive Salary: Annual compensation ranging from $40,000 to $50,000, with additional incentives and bonuses tied to goal achievement.
