GrizzlyTrek Group is excited to announce a full-time position with one of our valued clients in Canmore, AB. We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead diverse projects and drive successful outcomes. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a dynamic environment.
General Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline objectives, strategy, scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing issues and concerns.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans, continuously managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor project expenses, ensure budget compliance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Complete conceptual designs and cost estimates.
- Define the scope of work and oversee the work of engineering consultants.
- Collaborate with the plant operations team to create equipment specifications.
- Prepare technical bid documents for equipment and material supply contracts.
- Define and manage service (construction) contract requirements and scopes of work.
- Conduct technical bid analyses and provide award recommendations.
- Review and approve specifications, drawings, and manuals from engineering consultants and suppliers.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors on-site, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality compliance.
- Track work completion milestones and provide recommendations for progress payments.
- Respond to RFIs and clarify requirements for suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and manage change directives, validating and recommending change proposals as necessary.
- Ensure all construction permits are obtained, inspections completed, and deficiencies addressed.
- Provide project documents to the operations team for ongoing maintenance and operation.
- Ensure that as-built drawings and red-line documents are provided at the end of construction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, ideally in a construction or engineering environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of budget management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
