ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Maintain and organize project contract documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate and resolve contract-related issues with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Prepare and submit contract invoices and manage contract close-out processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other teams to ensure project success.
  • Manage and respond to RFIs (Request for Information) in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Assemble construction drawing revisions, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, details, schedules etc.
  • Participate and act on behalf of the form as the project CA lead during regularly scheduled site meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience in contract administration within the architecture or construction industry.
  • Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, building technology/assemblies, construction methodology, materials application, and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Fully versed in the Ontario Building Code and have experience with large-scale institutional buildings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage time, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Self-motivated individual, capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and interested in growing with the firm.
