Clarenville Autopro - Rust Proofing Technician

Our client Clarenville Autopro is looking for a hard-working Rust Proofing Technician to join their growing team in Clarenville! The successful candidate will have a desire to establish a career with a first-class company, possessing a “can do” attitude and strong work ethics!

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying protective coatings and treatments to vehicles to prevent corrosion and rust formation. This role is essential in extending the lifespan of vehicles and equipment exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Rust proofing vehicles by applying undercoating, rust inhibitor and top side as required
  • Cleaning exterior of vehicles after process
  • Maintain a clean workspace and adequate supplies at all times
  • Maintain the necessary tools to complete the required work
  • Assist in transporting cars and other tasks as required
  • Final check own work to minimize having to re-work vehicle
  • Complete work within standard allotted hours
  • Help promote team atmosphere by working together when requested by management
  • Be proactive in self development – learning new job related skills
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude
  • Maintain a constant awareness of deadlines
  • Increase the stores ability to process more vehicles by maintaining an attitude of urgency
  • Other garage duties as required

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Previous experience in automotive maintenance, detailing, or rust-proofing is preferred
