Sales Representative - Abbotsford, BC

Novum Building Components, located in Abbotsford, BC and part of Atlas Engineered Products (AEP), one of Canada's fastest-growing suppliers of trusses, doors, and engineered products, is seeking a Sales Representative for the Abbotsford, British Columbia area. Our operations span nationwide with a commitment to innovation and industry leadership.

Position Overview: The Sales Representative will play a key role in establishing, and maintaining relationships with our customer base across the Metro Vancouver region. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves developing partnerships with customers to fully understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in planning residential and commercial building projects
• Providing expertise in engineered wood products to make comprehensive recommendations
• Communicating customer needs to design and operations teams
• Proactively offering solutions to customer needs

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction processes
• Knowledge of local and national building codes
• Expertise in building components such as I-Joists, LVLs, trusses, and engineered wood products
• Superior customer service through proactive engagement
• Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams
• Developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Collaborating with teams to drive sales growth and increase market share
• Achieving monthly and annual sales targets

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of sales experience in a fast-paced industry
• 3+ years of customer service experience
• Experience in blueprint reading and construction framing
• Familiarity with local and national building codes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Self-motivated and a team player

Location: Primarily based in Abbotsford, BC with travel across the Metro Vancouver region.
