Securiguard Security Services is looking to hire a full-time temporary security guard for our Barrie site located on Bayview Drive. The position is expected to be needed until at least February 2025. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong computer skills, attention to detail, and looking to advance in their security career. The candidate must be available for the scheduled shifts according to the 3 week schedule below

Week 1:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 1600-2400, Saturday 1200-2400

Week 2:

Sunday 1200-2400, Monday 1600-2400, Friday 0001-0800, Saturday 0001-1200

Week 3:

Sunday 0001-1200, Monday to Thursday 0001-0800

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid Standard First Aid - CPR-C - AED Certificate
• Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma
• Experience in client services, call center, or security
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Dependability and strong work ethic

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews surveillance cameras in company stores as requested
• Monitors CCTV cameras
• Respond to burglary alarms, supervisory alerts, and other alarms requiring attention.
• Conduct alarm testing on store security systems based on prescribed lists and times.
• Maintain facility access control during prescribed periods.
• Operate and respond to alarms from the fire alarm system, access control system, or other building automated systems.
• Operate and monitor on-site CCTV camera systems.
• Data entry tasks using Microsoft Suites
• Conduct foot patrols and report any incidents on site
• Perform other duties as assigned by company management.
