Job Title: General Foreman - Excavation and Civil Projects

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned General Foreman with strong experience in excavation and large civil projects. In this leadership role, you will oversee field operations on significant civil infrastructure projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing excavation crews and a deep understanding of civil construction processes, with the ability to lead teams on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage field operations for excavation work on large civil projects.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of excavation crews, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, fostering a safety-first culture on site.
• Monitor project progress, provide updates to site management, and address any issues or delays that arise.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Maintain equipment and machinery, ensuring proper usage and scheduling regular maintenance.
• Train and mentor junior crew members, helping to build a skilled and cohesive team.
• Ensure that all work is carried out according to project specifications and quality requirements.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on excavation and large-scale civil projects.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing large teams in the field.
• Extensive knowledge of excavation processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both site teams and management.
