JOB TITLE: Distribution Coordinator Department: Operations

Location: Bracebridge (onsite each workday) Job Type: Full-time/Permanent

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Distribution Coordinator will coordinate driver workflow to ensure effected order delivery, route planning, and distribution fleet maintenance.

Requirements

As a Coordinator:

  • Provide orientation and train new drivers on CVOR requirements, internal processes and route plans as assigned. Provide ride along support for the initial routes where needed
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager with daily planning of delivery routes and pick-ups, communicate all route changes to the drivers
  • Work with the Warehouse Lead on early morning/pre delivery schedules, ensure paperwork is provided to the driver and oversee all product is loaded
  • Lead morning talks on safety checks, new accounts, and initiatives for distribution. Enable a collaborative team for effective problem solving and delivery adherences
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Supply Chain Manager on delivery status or discrepancies, concerns, or performances that require addressing
  • Have a clear understanding of the whole supply chain and look for efficiency and implement improvements working with the Supply Chain Manager
  • Coordinate third party transactions such as arranging carriers, ERP transfers to and from co-packers
  • Monitor CVOR rating and maintain/continuously improve
  • Manage the maintenance of all distribution fleet vehicles (vans and trucks.) Communicate with the Supply Chain Manager when maintenance is required and applicable costs
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager on sales and marketing fleet maintenance programs
  • Work with direct delivery Territory Managers to ensure Muskoka's high level of quality customer service is maintained
  • Play an active role in the continuous improvement of Health & Safety policies and processes
  • Ensure all required tools for the Drivers are available and maintained in all trucks
  • Perform other related duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years direct coordination experience within a warehouse or distribution department
  • Post Secondary education in a related field
  • Proven knowledge on CVOR requirements, safely loads and properly block, brace, and secure materials.
  • Proficient in a database system (Business central), excel and other MS office programs
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Strong communicator with proven building of positive relationship but with the internal team and external suppliers
  • Must have an excellent sense of priorities in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull weights of kegs and cases of beverages
  • Strong organization skills are needed for leading the team on daily route planning, managing requests and to expect the unexpected.
  • While this role works a standard work week, various hours may be required
