About the Role

The client has an exciting opportunity for a Tax and Estate Planner to join the team in Vancouver. In the Tax and Estate Planner position, you will collaborate with Investment Advisors and existing clients to provide tailored tax, estate, and personal finance strategies. Reporting to the Vice President, the Tax and Estate Planner will be an integral part of a highly skilled team, offering insights on a wide range of financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze information to align with clients financial goals
  • Advise clients and Investment Advisors on tax, retirement, and estate planning
  • Prepare and review financial projections using leading software
  • Identify potential tax minimization and planning opportunities
  • Interpret and explain tax-related rules for personal, corporate, and trust accounts
  • Develop informative articles and bulletins on tax and personal finance matters
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of internal and external presentations

Skills and Experience

  • CPA designation with a minimum of three years post-designation experience
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation (or willingness to obtain within two years)
  • Experience with personal finance, taxation, private corporations, and trusts
  • Knowledge of personal trust life cycles and estate planning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Proven ability to serve clients in a professional services environment
