Your Impact:

Crozier is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Services group. In this role you will oversee the analysis and preparation of Transportation Studies, Parking Studies, and Transportation Demand Management Studies for a wide variety of residential, commercial and transportation projects, considering active transportation as well as vehicular traffic.

With a diverse client market and service offerings, you will have the opportunity to utilize your problem-solving skills to work on multi-disciplinary projects across the business and collaborate cross-functionally with engineers from other departments.

This role can be based out of any one of our five offices – Collingwood, Milton, Guelph, Toronto, or Bradford.

How you will contribute to the team:

  • Manage the preparation of detailed traffic modelling, designs and studies for a wide variety of residential, commercial and transportation projects considering active transportation as well as vehicular traffic.
  • Participate on various project teams to identify issues and mitigative measures to satisfy approval requirements, assisting our clients in advancing projects toward completion.
  • Identify and provide transportation engineering design and planning solutions with multi-modal considerations to meet the needs of all road users.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to deliver multi-disciplinary projects through preliminary and detail designs for our clients.
  • Develop and utilize knowledge of requirements of reviewing agencies such as Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) and municipal authorities.
  • Review and finalize technical reports and design briefs to summarize analyses.
  • Work with other civil engineering specialties to gain knowledge of all facets of land development engineering.
  • Coordinate with client, municipalities, agencies, subconsultants and all internal disciplines involved in the project.
  • Review reports and drawings for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior employees.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Transportation Engineering or a relatable degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 5 years transportation engineering work experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of transportation studies such as Transportation Impact Studies, Parking Studies, and Transportation Demand Management Plans.
  • Experience with Synchro software is essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/AutoTURN, Vissim, Aimsun, EMME, or other transportation related software considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of municipal land development principles and requirements.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple project timelines.
