Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Permanent Accounting & Finance Recruitment, has partnered with our client in Winnipeg to recruit a Financial Analyst to become an active member of the team.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the finance department with a variety of functions, including financial & management reporting, research and communicating with internal and external contacts.
Responsibilities:
· Review and prepare financial and management reports.
· Generate reports analyzing variances.
· Enhance financial performance monitoring processes.
· Offer recommendations to department heads and executives for enhancing financial performance in critical areas.
· Conduct financial modeling, trend analysis, and benchmarking for business cases.
· Establish and upkeep accounting policies and procedures.
· Establishing account balances in the accounting system.
· Conducting daily bank reconciliations for both US and CAD accounts.
· Performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounting.
· Posting general journal entries.
· Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Requirements:
· Financial Analysis experience for a minimum of 3 years.
· A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (required)
· Currently in the CPA program (preferred)
· Strong knowledge and background in financial analytics, including forecasting and budgeting
· Advanced software skills including MS Excel, and/or financial planning, and reporting/dashboard tool
· Experience with computerized accounting programs e.g. AccPac, Dynamics-Great Plains, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage and other ERP Systems
· Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, amazing communication and people skills and must be highly organized.
Benefits:
· Annual salary from $60,000- $70,000 depending on experience
