FVCL is a rapidly expanding ophthalmology clinic specializing in eye diseases and advanced surgical procedures. Our clinic is staffed by a nationally-recognized team of ophthalmologists with extensive experience in providing a wide range of ocular services, including MSP-covered exams and surgeries, private lens surgeries, and LASIK.

The Position:

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cataract Counselor to join our Refractive Department, specializing in Cataract, RLE, ICL, LASIK, and PRK surgeries. This role will oversee various aspects of the Refractive Department, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counseling patients regarding their cataract surgery options and other refractive procedures.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including managing surgical slating and creating patient surgical charts.
  • Compiling and analyzing monthly KPI reports based on weekly barometers.
  • Coordinating follow-up calls to refractive surgery patients.
  • Supporting general administrative duties: scanning, filing, and photocopying.
  • Unpacking and organizing inventory as needed.
  • Assisting with other duties as required by the lead.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an ophthalmology clinic, interacting with a diverse patient population.
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices, particularly in refractive and cataract surgeries.
  • Ability to effectively counsel and advise patients on surgical processes and aftercare.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheets, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse team, including peers, subordinates, and leadership.
  • A commitment to delivering world-class customer service.
