Reports To: VP Finance & Operations

Position Overview

The Director of Marketing is responsible for shaping and executing the overall strategy, direction, and goals of the marketing department, playing an integral role in driving the company's success. This role is essential in developing an approach that aligns both traditional and digital channels—from branding and signage to data-driven, growth marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure the effective implementation of annual and quarterly plans, major project campaigns, and customer-focused initiatives, while supporting the success of cross-functional teams and departments. As a steward for our brand, this position will ensure consistent, impactful messaging that drives engagement, builds recognition, and fuels growth across our multifamily, high-density, residential rental, and land development divisions.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's vision, ensuring seamless execution and positioning across all channels and initiatives, and adapting plans to meet evolving business needs.
  • Manage resources across internal teams and external partners, allocating budgets, tools, and personnel effectively.
  • Establish clear, data-driven KPIs for marketing activities and ensure ongoing monitoring, analysis, and adjustment to keep efforts aligned with overarching brand strategy and department objectives. Establish reporting schedule on performance metrics to gauge effectiveness and optimize future campaigns.
  • Lead the planning and oversight of all campaigns and project launches for both traditional and digital media assets.
  • Actively identify, cultivate, and strengthen relationships with key customer segments and stakeholders within the marketing ecosystem, seeking new opportunities to engage and grow the customer base.
  • Drive collaboration across departments to align marketing efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Lead continuous innovation within the marketing department by generating new ideas and iterating current approaches.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • 8 years of experience in marketing with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Degree in marketing, business or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in traditional marketing, digital marketing, brand management, and customer engagement in residential home building or land development.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a strategic mindset and project management skills to manage many complex initiatives and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
  • Experience in data analytics and a data-driven approach to marketing strategy.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage and grow a collaborative and high performing team that includes internal and external stakeholders.
