Automotive Technician Helper - Abbotsford

We are looking for someone who is keen and self-motivated to work in our Abbotsford head office with our growing fleet of patient transfer minivans, buses and ambulances.

This is a full time position from Tuesday to Saturday, working 40 hours per week.

Skills Required:

• Ability to use a variety of tools
• Enjoys the trial and error of repair work
• Experience in repairing a wide range of items

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Vehicle cleaning, detailing and sanitizing
• Minor body repair and vehicle badging
• Ensuring that vehicle equipment is in good working order
• Keeping adequate supply of parts and shop supplies on hand
• Making sure vehicles have all the required consumables on board
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to depots or repair shops
• Keep shop clean, tidy and organized
• Light building maintenance when required
• Record keeping

Qualifications:

• Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
• Valid passport
• Ability to pass a criminal record clearance to work with children and vulnerable adults
• Strong interest in or experience with vehicles or fleet maintenance
• Good knowledge of power and machine tools
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Positive, friendly with good customer service skills
• Attention to detail
