WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment, following company standards and safety procedures.
- Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
- Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they affect production.
- Document inspection findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary to maintain equipment longevity.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, applying effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Address repair requests promptly, minimizing disruptions to production.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and installations as required to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
- Use the Maintenance Request System to track and document maintenance activities, including repair requests, completed tasks, and equipment status updates.
- Participate actively in maintenance team meetings, sharing insights, providing updates, and coordinating work to support department goals.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure alignment on maintenance priorities and schedules.
- All other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent
- Must be a licensed millwright (3-5 year experience)
- Understands all aspects of company products and their application
- Able to carry out safe lock-out procedures when performing any repair or maintenance
- Knowledge of operation, limitation, and maintenance of all applicable machinery and equipment in area
- Knowledge of material handling techniques, use of cranes, slings, etc.
- Ability and knowledge of working at heights
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation (OHSA), promote safe working practices including safe equipment operation, hazard reporting, and awareness of rights.
- Availability to work day and afternoon shift
- Maintain a level of education necessary to keep pace with new manufacturing technology and company requirements
