LaPrairie Crane is looking for a Facility Administrator to join their team in Fort St. John, BC.

In the role of Facility Administrator, you will complete various administrative duties in support of our operations and maintenance teams in Fort St. John, Tumbler Ridge and Prince George, BC. You will regularly engage with other administration and accounting staff across Western Canada to facilitate various tasks.


This role is based in our Fort St. John facility, an office / shop environment, where you will work closely with our operations and maintenance personnel to facilitate our crane and rigging work programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls and inquiries to the appropriate individuals. Take and send messages as required.
  • Receive, sort, and deliver incoming mail and packages.
  • Ship outgoing mail using a variety of shipping services.
  • Maintain office materials and order supplies as required.
  • Book hotels for field personnel.
  • Request and receive Purchase Orders (PO) for LaPrairie Crane operations as directed.
  • Facilitate field order review and approval process.
  • Complete data entry using in-house and third-party accounting and administrative software programs.
  • Assist with file and document management, including uploading documents to SharePoint and in-house programs.
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and verify coding for accounting.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Other administration duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in administration and/or a Degree / Certification in Office Administration or Business.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organization skills.
  • Accurate data entry and proof-reading skills.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information and sensitive inquiries in a discreet manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Experience with business system programs or accounting programs is an asset.
