Secure Digital Markets (SDM) is looking for a passionate and hard-working Software Developer: Blockchain & Fintech to help us build world-class solutions and experiences. Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will work to develop fintech products and platforms for digital assets, securities, financial instruments, and marketplaces.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience in the architecture, development, and infrastructure for fintech applications, including exchanges, trading systems, derivatives, risk management, and automation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical support for client integrations, including assisting clients with the implementation and troubleshooting of SDM-specific trading workflows, derivatives support, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop automated solutions to improve reporting processes for compliance and monthly staking tasks, with a focus on streamlining manual operations and implementing best practices.
• Work closely with Mid Office, Traders, and Compliance teams to develop solutions that support cross-departmental processes in trading, client reporting, and compliance.
• Architect and develop bespoke software, integrating fintech products and platforms, including blockchains, web2 & web3 stacks, third-party APIs, and working holistically with the Tech Team.
• Implement User Interfaces and User Experiences that bridge blockchain interactions and engagements.
• Perform self-QA and peer reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and automation practices (CI/CD).
• Ensure accurate implementation of financial and business logic, maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience developing one or more of the following: Trading systems, On-chain/DeFi/Blockchain/Web3, Lending Systems, Risk Management Systems, ERP systems, Finance/Accounting systems.
• Experience with Trading Workflows, Compliance Workflows, and Derivatives; knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Podman (or Docker), SQL, TypeScript, with experience in high-volume API integrations and high-frequency algorithmic trading.
• Experience with at least two of the following: Solidity, Hardhat, Ethers, WalletConnect/Metamask.
• 2+ years as a full-stack developer with at least three of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Express.
• Proficiency in queuing tools like RabbitMQ or AWS SQS, containers (Docker, Podman), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Broad experience in managing complex, high-frequency API integrations and scalable architectures, with knowledge of Go or similar languages.
• Diverse proficiency in storage & caching systems; SQL, document-oriented, structured/unstructured, key-value, in-memory data/storage systems.
• Broad knowledge of best practices for version control with Git, software development pipelines, and processes.
• Experience with blockchain/cryptocurrency nodes, and infrastructure as code tooling is considered an asset.
