POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated bilingual Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. The role of the Reimbursement Specialist involves overseeing all aspects of patient enrollment into a Patient Support Program. Additionally, Reimbursement Specialist will perform a reimbursement navigation and coordinate services for patients who have been prescribed the medication by their doctor. The Reimbursement Specialist's responsibilities include assisting physicians and patients with regards to drug coverage, following up on submissions related to obtaining coverage from insurers and ensuring timely access to prescribed treatments. The Reimbursement Specialist also provides ongoing support to patients through effective communication to ensure seamless access to the prescribed therapy.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday with rotating shifts from 9AM - 5PM or 12PM - 8PM.
This is currently a hybrid role with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with patients to remove barriers for access to the prescribed medication
- Provide education to patients, HCP's (Health Care Providers) and their staff regarding program services.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, HCP's (Health Care Providers) and their staff in a timely and appropriate manner
- Effectively communicate with patients and insurance providers over the phone (at least 85% of the position requires phone communications)
- Support access to medication and expedite time to obtain the drug prescribed by providing reimbursement support and assistance for patient out-of-pocket costs
- Communicate with patients, HCP's, clinic staff, and Key Account Managers to provide education and services pertaining to the acquisition, access, coverage, reimbursement and affordability of medication
- Conduct reimbursement investigations with private reimbursement providers
- Review, analyze and validate information provided by patients and HCP's for accuracy and completeness to ensure initiation of services
- Provide answers to general inquiries on Program services, based on information provided as part of the Program Case Manager materials
- Other tasks as required
- Proficiency in French and English required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- Able to demonstrate compassion and patience
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once with required urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Google and Adobe applications
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- A willingness to learn
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience in reimbursement or with Patient Support Programs is an asset
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset
- Completion of post-secondary school required
- Remote, home-office environment or office environment: sitting at a desk, working at a computer
