As Xradar's Health and Safety Lead, you will make an impact on our health and safety practices by maintaining our COR certification, coaching team members, and helping us to uphold our culture of safety and excellence. As our Health and Safety Lead, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Manage Xradar's ongoing H&S program
- Ensure employee training and qualifications are kept up to date
- Maintain compliance with client prequalification management systems
- Conduct COR safety audits and assist in the development of corrective plans
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with our H&S standards
- Liaise with clients on project specific safety requirements
- Provide risk management advice
- Reporting and tracking of incident and near misses
- Lead H&S related investigations
- Safety onboarding of new hires
- Office administration such as stocking and reordering PPE supplies and general consumables; filing reports and ensuring stats and data are easy to retrieve
On your resume, we will be looking for the following:
- A minimum of 2 years in a safety coordination role
- Experience in construction, Engineering or similar field
- Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related topic
- Experience working with OHSA, WCB/WSIB
- Safety auditing experience / internal COR auditor certification
- Valid BC drivers' license is required for access to company vehicles
