What You'll Do:

• Prepare company financial statements, month-end journal entries, and accruals
• Conduct bank reconciliations
• Provide monthly financial commentary to management on key movements in financial statements
• Generate and distribute financial and operational reports with performance metrics
• Recommend system and process improvements to enhance management and financial reports
• Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecast updates
• Analyze variances between actuals and budget on a monthly basis
• Conduct research on routine accounting transactions
• Prepare and remit source deductions, payroll tax, and HST
• Drive process efficiencies through review and enhancement
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
  

Ideal Candidates Are:

• Holders of a diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software like Quickbooks, Sage, or SAP is an advantage
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
• Collaborative and thrive in team environments, working well with non-financial colleagues
