PART-TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT A/P

Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) is hiring for an experienced Part-time Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Part-time Accounting Assistant will assist and support the Accounting and Administration Team with accounts payable and time entry functions and will report to the Administration Manager. This position will help ensure accurate and timely invoicing and that all payables are entered correctly and completed on time. This role will require excellent time management, communication skills and attention to detail. This is a part-time permanent position averaging 20 hours per week, and is located in Salmon Arm BC.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As an integral part of the Landmark team, your major job functions will include:

  • Entering and maintaining accurate project details through Landmark's Labour Equipment and Materials (LEM's) system.
  • Receive and reconcile payable invoices/statements and obtain approvals.
  • Assist with employee time entry
  • Data entry into SAGE 50 Premium accounting software.
  • Backup to the Accounting Assistant and Administration Assistant, for additional finance and administration functions.
  • Filing and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of two (2) years' work experience in a finance or accounts payable/receivable office environment.
  • Proficiency with Sage50 Accounting Software and Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Requires an understanding of accounting principles.
  • Post-secondary diploma in accounting, business or office administration preferred.
