Material Handler / Back-Up Delivery Driver

Position Overview:
In our warehouse environment, the Material Handler/ Back-Up Delivery Driver is key to ensuring our raw materials and metal castings are organized and supplied as needed. Moreover, the role doubles up as a part-time driver. This position directly reports to our VP of Operations.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating the company's G class pick-up van with an automatic transmission
  • Handling scrap material for shipment.
  • Assisting in various shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Operating industrial band saws and maintaining shop cleanliness.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines while operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Managing and verifying our inventory of raw materials.
  • Performing additional tasks as needed within our shop and warehouse.

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid Full G class driver's license (clear abstract required).
  • Forklift certification and ability to handle weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Mandatory steel-toe work boots and safety glasses.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and ERP.
  • Strong mathematical, mechanical, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work unsupervised, and achieve production goals.

Shift Flexibility Requirement:
Applicants should be capable of smoothly transitioning through monthly rotations, covering Day, Afternoon, and Midnight shifts. Essential availability for overtime, excluding weekends and holidays, is required. Having personal transportation is a necessity to accommodate varying shift timings. Shift premiums will be provided.

Shift & Hours: Part-time, Day shift, 15-30 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Note: Upon hiring, successful candidates will be subject to a Criminal Records name check and a Controlled Goods Clearance.
