Position: Quick Service F&B Manager

Reports to: Director, Food & Beverage Operations

Department: Food & Beverage Operations

The Quick Serve Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing of the Quick Serve venues in the Food and Beverage department at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP). This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the quick serve operations of CSBP, while maintaining profitable quick serve outlets, high quality products and service levels that ensure exceptional guest service. This department includes the Berry Waffle, Logger's Grill, and the Cabin.

What you'll do:

  • Model and manage effective supervision of CSBP quick serve venues to drive sales while maintaining exceptional guest service and park standards,
  • Work to ensure the timely creation of department schedules to ensure maximum coverage during all business times (peak and non-peak), working within budget,
  • Review team member productivity to achieve the desired results; coach supervisors on performance management techniques,
  • Promote team member and guest engagement and satisfaction,
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity,
  • Ensure that all proper and necessary accounting controls are implemented and maintained,
  • Consistently monitor and adjust sales forecasts to ensure labor is utilized to optimize sales generation, working closely with operations managers,
  • Ensure a high quality of Food & Beverage offerings throughout quick serve venues at CSBP,
  • Ensure team has system in place to ensure all food orders are accurate and timely,
  • Support other Capilano Group locations, as required,
  • Other duties as required,

Who you are:

  • 3 years management or supervisory experience in Food & Beverage industry,
  • Completion (or completing) University or College degree in Tourism/Hospitality Management or in another related discipline, an asset,
  • Experience managing multiple outdoor venues preferred,
  • Experience working in the Tourism sector preferred,
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of food and beverage equipment; preventative maintenance and trouble shooting,
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and POS systems,
  • Advanced Food Safe certifications,
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Flexibility, able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays,
  • On-call duty and last minute shift coverage may be required.

Considerations:

  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
  • While performing the duties of this position, team members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time,
  • While performing the duties of this position, required to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain and severe winter conditions; snow removal, propane tank set-up, moving patio furniture.
  • Comfortable with heights,
  • While performing the duties of this position, required to cross a 450 foot suspension bridge multiple times a day,
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50lbs, and
  • Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
