Hours: Varied with availability for weekday, weeknight and/or weekend shifts
Hourly Rate: $19.60 – $21.47 Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, the Swimming Instructor will provide swimming instruction to participants of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver high quality swim lessons to community members.
- Maintain vigilance and safety supervision of all participants.
- Work in a team to ensure safety and quality of programs prevail.
- Attend scheduled training and development sessions.
- Provide a positive customer service experience and ability to address customer concerns.
- Report concerns, accidents, and incidents to immediate supervisor, or on-call supervisor, as needed.
- Provide appropriate first aid treatment and documentation, as needed.
- Complete administrative tasks, including report card writing and instructor worksheets, appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of age.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certification from a WSIB recognized organization.
- Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification.
- Availability for weekday, weeknight, or weekend aquatic programs.
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification is considered an asset.
- Previous Lifeguard experience is considered an asset.
