Programming Manager
Position Summary:
The Programming Manager is accountable for and to the organization and responsible for the specific programs including but not limited to, ensuring the healing (treatment) needs of clients are met through overseeing planning and implementation of service/care/healing plans. This role along with the Team Leader acts in a liaison capacity between the Director and the staff and clients. The Programming Manager is responsible for ensuring that the youth have a voice.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the
organization.
  • Creating and managing long term goals.
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of
services.
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
  • Supervise the implementation of organizational and program based goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of organizational and program goals (in accordance with the strategic plan).
  • Participate in the development of care plans and therapeutic interventions with youth.
  • Review and address concerns arising from clients in accordance with the grievance procedure.
  • Take part in the orientation of new staff members, training and ongoing learning of staff members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Any combination of education and experience including a degree, diploma and/or certificate in a related field, experience both in administrative three (3} years related experience in human services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to assess program needs; analyze, identify and resolve various concerns including staff and clients.
  • Willingness and ability to work long and irregular hours under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and achieve program success through others.
  • Be dedicated to maintaining high standards of professional competence and integrity.
  • Be of Metis or Aboriginal heritage and/or knowledgeable regarding specific issues, customs and traditions specific to the heritage.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check & CYIM check
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
