Reporting to the Fibreline Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with mill personnel, providing direction and support for training initiative. A high degree of professionalism and leadership is required.
You'll Do:
- Develop and implement operator training programs, including site policies and procedures.
- Rollout divisional and corporate initiatives to the mill site
- Generate cross departmental reports for training, safety, observations, etc.
- Orientate New & Young workers to the mill site
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop training materials, workbooks, and examinations
- Keep informed of, interpret, and implement training regarding regulatory obligations and industry best practices
- Prepare for and participate in external government audits
- Forecast department training needs
- Develop and maintain a network of internal and external resources, including but not limited to, the OH&S Coordinator, Operational Maintenance Coordinators, Corporate & Divisional Managers, Contractors, etc.
- Assess new training technologies and implement where beneficial
You have:
- Experience in course and curriculum design or managing training projects
- Familiar with Learning Management Systems
- Strong communication, including technical or procedural writing
- Clear understanding of the principles of adult education and educational design.
- Demonstrated ability to keep and monitor records effectively
- High energy level, self-starter and works well without direct supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills
Considered an asset:
- Familiarity with the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite including Sharepoint, UKG(Ultipro), Articulate Storyline
- Change Management training
- Mill and/or heavy industry experience
Compensation Package:
- The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The range is between $84,000-$96,000
