Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise AV installations, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and on budget.
- Create and manage change orders along with MAC estimates.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, project coordinators and subcontractors, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to complete their tasks.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address any issues or challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their vision is realized through the project.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to guarantee the highest level of workmanship.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and change orders.
- Provide detailed reports to senior management on project performance and outcomes.
- Ensure the project budget is managed and the customer's format and language requirements are followed accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate and/or provide training to clients.
- Coordinate the project's turnover to the service department at the end of each project.
- 5 - 8 years of Audio-Visual Project Management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Structured cabling Project Management experience.
- Experience in CCTV and Access Control Project Management is preferred but not required.
- PMP certification or an approved application from PMI is preferred but not required.
- CTS or CTS-I (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Crown and other AV manufacturers.
- High-level of understanding AV systems and ability to troubleshoot is required.
- Additional industry certifications.
- Stellar customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
- High-level time management skills.
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment when addressing potentially volatile issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical or other project-related issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, and Microsoft Visio/AutoCAD/DTools viewing.
- Ability to read and comprehend project technical documents, including, but not limited to, engineering and architectural drawings, schedules, test reports, and commissioning documents.
