The Role:

As an Outside Account Executive specializing in Truss Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by actively promoting and selling trusses and additional materials/ products to potential clients. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their construction needs, and providing tailored solutions using our range of truss products. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, managing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential clients in the construction industry.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to generate new business leads.
    • Collaborate with marketing and other teams to enhance lead generation efforts.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Understand clients' construction projects, timelines, and truss requirements.
    • Conduct regular check-ins and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge and Consultative Selling:
    • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the truss products offered.
    • Consult with clients to understand their specific needs and recommend suitable truss solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to clients during the sales process.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
    • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our truss solutions.
    • Address client inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Negotiation and Proposal Development:
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, including pricing and contract terms.
    • Work closely with the internal team to ensure accurate and timely proposal submissions.
  • Market Research:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
    • Provide feedback to the management team regarding customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Sales Reporting and Goal Achievement:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress against sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of truss products and their applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of traditional business hours as needed.
