Position/Term: Temporary /Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance Shop, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 12-hour day shifts

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing services.
What I will be doing?- Perform all aspects of truck and transport diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Complete routine self-generated work, and daily work order requests for repairs and services
- Complete estimates and maintain accurate reporting and documentation
- Mentor and train apprentices as needed
- Actively participate in the shop safety program and maintain strict adherence to OH&S guidelines
- Contribute to general housekeeping and organization within the shop
- Interaction with customers to provide service details as required
- Alberta Journeyperson Trade Ticket is required
- HET - Truck and Transport License is required
- Knowledge of Computer Diagnosis is required
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or equivalent is required
- Valid Class 5 license is required. (If selected for an interview, must submit a 5-year driver abstract that is not older than 30 days)
- Must supply own tools
- Inter Provincial Red Seal is preferred
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVIP) is preferred
- Experience with Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins engines is preferred
- Experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs is preferred
- Experience in dealership repairs and atmosphere is preferred
- Recent experience with Tractor Trailers such as Kenworth, Peterbilt, and International is preferred
- Class 1 or 3 license is preferred
- Previous Freightliner Dealership Experience is an asset
