1-800-GOT-JUNK? is seeking a Database Marketing & CRM Developer to enhance our customer experience by improving our Marketing technology. This role collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure our technology aligns with our growth plan for customer communication and retention.

Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development, ideally with a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification, and can design and execute complex campaigns to boost customer engagement and retention.

Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Develop marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Utilize SQL for audience segmentation, deployments, data analysis and debugging.
  • Manage the personalization, versioning and email rendering.
  • Responsible for executing pre-deployment testing, campaign deployment and monitoring utilizing the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implements established best practices and identifies opportunities and new strategies/tactics to improve Database Marketing programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, releases and trends in digital marketing and email marketing
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing any incidents for real-time transactional messages by working closely with other development and technology teams

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Proficiency in configuring and setting up data models (data extensions, shared data extensions, contact models, data imports).
  • Hands-on experience working with customers and platform data (SQL, views, Send Log)
  • Proficiency in writing basic SQL, including joint statements
  • Expertise in creating dynamic, personalized marketing assets using various scripting languages
  • Skilled in building Marketing Cloud web experiences (data forms, custom preference pages).
  • Proficient in resolving scenarios using REST and SOAP API
  • Strong understanding (experience preferred) of Email / ISP Domain Health Management
  • Exceptional communication skills and extensive technical SFMC and data experience
  • Familiarity with template design - HTML, CSS, AMPscript, SQL, SSJS and proficiency required, WXProxy nice to have
  • Comfort working within multiple marketing tech stacks, cross-department collaboration and highly technical teams

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
