Apex Geomatics has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our operations in Saskatchewan. Contuning throughout the winter, this project runs on a consistent 14/7 schedule. LOA and additional travel allowance provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
  • Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
  • Prepare daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and operational procedures.
  • Effective communication and flow of information from field to office.
  • Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics' Health and Safety Program.
  • Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
  • Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
  • As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Must be proficient with the use of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and related software to perform high-precision surveys.
  • Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • CSTS 2020 certification is required.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
