Job Description

The House of Commons' Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff the Manager, Recruitment and Selection Services position.

In this role, the individual leads, coaches, and mentors the Recruitment and Selection team to proactively meet business needs aligned with operational and strategic priorities. They develop and implement effective recruitment strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and key stakeholders, while also enhancing the candidate experience through innovative sourcing and selection methods. The individual oversees cross-functional initiatives related to recruitment and selection and establishes proactive forecasting mechanisms to maintain performance metrics, providing timely reports and recommendations. Building strong relationships with internal and external partners is essential to ensure integrated services and successful project development. Additionally, they implement feedback processes and performance standards to monitor service efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business administration, commerce, industrial relations, human resources management, psychology, change management, etc.) or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Progressive experience in human resources, with extensive expertise in sourcing, recruitment and selection;
  • Strong management and leadership background, demonstrating effective team guidance and development;
  • Proficient in developing and implementing sourcing, recruitment, and selection strategies that align with organizational goals;
  • Strong knowledge of organizational dependencies and their impact on recruitment and selection, enabling the development of strategies aligned with organizational priorities;
  • Knowledgeable in financial and administrative policies and procedures, including terms and conditions of employment;
  • Experienced in utilizing applicant tracking systems to streamline recruitment processes.
