E.S. Fox Limited is looking for an experienced and professional Human Resources Manager to join our team in the nuclear division.


Summary of the Role:

The Human Resources Manager will lead HR functions within a nuclear operations environment, focusing on onboarding, workforce management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and retention. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging workplace for all employees, while overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and development. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with operations, safety, and compliance teams to foster an environment of collaboration, growth, and excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a primary contact for employee relations within the workforce. Provide support on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Oversee recruiting processes for specialized roles, partnering with leadership to identify key competencies, manage succession planning, and drive retention initiatives.
  • Onboarding: Lead and manage the onboarding process for all new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and comprehensive introduction to the company culture, safety protocols, and role-specific requirements.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the training department to develop programs that support skill-building, professional development, and safety awareness.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Work with the Corporate Human Resources Manager to develop and implement Human Resources policies tailored to a high-performance environment, ensuring they support employee well-being, safety, and organizational goals.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and addressing unique job performance challenges.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, supporting organizational goals and improving workforce engagement and retention.

Key Requirements, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Human Resources experience, with 3+ years in a management role, ideally within a high-stakes or specialized environment.
  • CPHR, CHRP, CHRL or other HR certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing sensitive employee relations and ensuring confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, talent management systems, and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-stakes situations calmly and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, including compliance, safety, and operations teams.
  • Labour relations experience is a definite asset.
  • Working from other locations such as Darlington and Pickering will be required.
