Dream is looking for a Manager, Development

Dream's Industrial Development division is currently looking for a Development Manager who will be responsible for project coordination and the municipal government approval process, while reporting to the Director of Development.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will take on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

  • Perform property due diligence including municipal regulatory framework assessments, physical site attributes, and gather information on municipal costs, financial incentives and report writing;
  • Assist with municipal development approvals including Zoning By-Law Amendments, Site Plans, Development Permits and Building Permits;Assist in the procurement and coordination of external consultants
  • Assist in the creation and management of budgets and schedules;
  • Oversee document and file management;
  • Attend meetings, record minutes, and ensure the execution of action items;
  • Provide support to management and the overall department;
  • Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

What type of experience do you have?

These are of the qualifications we'd like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet:

  • Applicable work experience in managing the planning, design, approval, and construction phases of commercial or industrial projects.
  • A post-secondary education in Real Estate, Planning, Architecture or Engineering;
  • Experience with municipal planning, zoning, and applications.
  • Experience working with acquisitions, dispositions and/or joint ventures would also be a great asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
