Dream is looking for a Manager, New Home Sales

We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Dream is currently looking for a Manager, Sales to oversee the Area Sales Team's in our Western Housing Division.

Over the 5+years you've worked in sales management providing strategic leadership, direction, and coaching to the sales team, to meet and exceed department goals, has proven that you are not afraid to think outside the box to find the best approach to achieve results. Your in-depth knowledge and experience of real estate transactions, relations with brokers and legal processes within residential housing are apparent through your exceeding of sales targets. You will be responsible for implementing, provide oversight and managing a best in class sales strategy to ensure optimum growth for Dream and a superior experience for the customer. What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

  • Provide leadership in developing the sales strategy and execution to that plan for all Housing regions
  • Manage the sales team and develop and execute a vision for the team that delivers the desired top line and bottom line results
  • Define the resources required for meeting the business objectives and acquire the necessary talent
  • Provide leadership in the overall performance management of the team, including setting clear expectation and objectives, providing coaching and measuring results
  • Lead change initiatives within the sales team which align with the sales strategy and the values of Dream
  • Establish an environment which motivates and engages talent to achieve desired results
  • Monitor and track sales volumes, inventory, competitive research and real estate market trends and adapt the sales strategy accordingly
  • Build partnership with key stakeholders within Dream and the communities where we do business, including legal professionals and brokers
  • Liaise and collaborate with Design, Costing, Construction and Marketing to ensure product and pricing alignment within each market, knowledge of pre-con and construction timelines, and to coordinate the sales and marketing strategy
  • Develop a customer plan for ongoing relationship management and create, implement and manage the customer feedback system for an optimum customer experience
  • Oversee the design, writing content and creation of promotional materials
  • Oversee and participate in all sales and marketing activities of the department
  • Serve as a key member of senior management of the department
  • This position will require travel to our communities in Calgary and Regina

What type of experience and skills do you have?

  • At least 5+ years in a related position including leading a Sales team of which 3 years in New Home Sales
  • Previous experience within the housing market is an asset
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of real estate transactions, relations with brokers and legal processes within housing development
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in business, marketing or a related field with preference for a MBA
  • Sales training experience or courses is an asset.
