What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.
- Architect/design/support a vast array of environments, systems and devices from networks, firewalls, servers, storage and IAAS.
- Provide leadership in areas of LAN/WAN routing, WIFI, DMZ, Firewall technologies, load balancers, servers, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery and cloud.
- Analyze current technical architecture, risks and issues; and propose new solutions.
- Responsible for supporting all corporate and Base Building Network (BBN) infrastructure across Canada, US and Europe.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions both hosted locally in our datacenters as well hosted in third-party cloud providers.
- Interface with and help manage our vendor partnerships developing strong, mutually committed relationships.
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations of the network, server and storage environments are meeting/exceeding reliability, availability and service requirements as per SLA's.
- Be available after hours when needed to assist with resolving unexpected operational issues and provide 24X7 on call support on a rotating basis.
- Implement new infrastructure standard devices and platforms.
- Monitor, administer and maintain and evolve the Dream Technology Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Establish standards, policies, procedures and checklists to ensure network consistency and a high standard of customer experience.
- Ensure all systems are effectively monitored.
- Develop strong relationships with Technical Support, Security and Enterprise Systems to increase support delivery and ensure cohesive, smooth-running systems.
- Identify opportunities to save costs and more effectively manage assets and report the opportunities to the Infrastructure Manager
What type of experience do you have?

- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 6+ years' experience in the following:
- Supporting Data Centre infrastructure; LANs and WANs, Implementing and maintaining MPLS networks
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks.
- Administering and maintaining a Windows Server, Virtualization Platforms (VMware, vSphere, Nutanix, AHV) Citrix environments and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for a mid to large size organization; SAML, Certificate (PKI) creation and maintenance
- Thorough understanding of network server infrastructure. (Servers, Storage, Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
- Experience with networking at layers 1 through 7 including protocols TCP, UDP, IP, IPSec, STP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP, DNS and DHCP.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of firewalls and VPN tunnels in a meshed multi-hub and spoke environment
- Experience managing Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IAAS, SAAS), DevSecOps, Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, Disaster Recovery Platforms and Services
- Technical knowledge in Data Centre virtualization, Windows server operating systems, SANs and Active Directory services.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

- Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls and data centre products, UCS, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPAN etc.
- Cloud computing experience. (Azure, AWS, Office 365)
- VMware vCenter, vSphere, Nutanix and AHV
- Citrix NetScaler, Virtual Apps/Desktops and Storefront, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Veeam Backup and Replication. Veeam Orchestrator, Physical Media Backup
- Certifications such as: CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, MCSE, VCP. NCP
