We have an immediate opening for CMM Programmer Operator at our Windsor Extrusion Plant.
Position Summary:
Responsible for checking material quality standards, operating Hexagon measurement machine and CMM machine.
Job Responsibilities:
Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards
Select samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.) for production analysis
Program and operate Hexagon measurement machine and CMM Machine
Assist with capability analysis, gauge R&R studies and maintain the quality system requirements to meet QMS requirements
Back-up support in the absence of the Quality Tech and or Quality Supervisor
Able to perform other duties as assigned .
Skills Required:
Clear communication skills written and verbal both
Responsible and trustworthy
Knowledge of MS Office
A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Good attitude required and willing to learn and grow
Able to work well with others in a team environment
Ability to stand for long periods and flexible shifts
Experience/ Educational Qualification Required:
- College in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is an asset
- 3 to 5 years of quality manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in the automotive sector preferred
Working Hours:
- Day shift, 40 hours/week. Must be flexible to work outside of regular working hours if required.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing plant environment
Exposure to loud noise
Overtime may be required
Ability to stand for long periods
