The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre is a community based organization providing innovative, strength based, family centered services to children, youth and their families on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Stó:lō and Nlaka'pamux peoples. Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Speech-Language Therapy, this position is responsible for all aspects of caseload management by utilizing clinically accepted procedures to assess, plan and carry out speech-language programs to reach each client's maximum potential. The SLP works collaboratively with the family and other professionals to determine the best array and intensity of services based on the goals of the family. SLPs provide home, community, private school and centre based services to a wide range of children birth to 18 years in several FVCDC programs. Positions may be located in any of our three offices (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, or Mission). FVCDC offers a diverse array of opportunities for SLPs to apply and grow their clinical skills. Additionally, staff have access to generous education funds to support professional development.

We are currently seeking applicants with interest and experience working with both preschool-aged and school-aged children and youth. Positions are available in our Early Intervention program and Individual Fee for Service program.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
  • Previous experience working with children and youth is an asset
  • Education and experience working in Indigenous communities is an asset
  • Ability to speak Punjabi is an asset
  • RASP registration is an asset
