Position: Clerk – Full Time, Days

Reporting to the Director of Care the DOC Clerk is responsible for the day to day scheduling in the nursing department as well as ordering, receiving, re-stocking, inventory control and payment processing of all nursing supplies and performing clerical duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the recruitment department on vacancies within the home
- Assist with tours of the home
- Preparation for orientation groups and assisting the Office Manager with onboarding new hires
- Inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking and payment processing of all nursing supplies
- Answering incoming calls and directing to the appropriate person
- Maintaining records as required and adhering to established department policies and procedures
- Maintaining positive relationship with nursing staff
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational skills are essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite essential
- Recent 1-2 years experience with scheduling and payroll essential
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems an asset
- Working knowledge of collective agreements within a unionized environment
- Able to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure
- Background in human resources an asset
