Summit Search Group has been retained by our client on the recruitment of their next Senior Account Executive. Our client is a marketing agency that takes a strategic, digitally driven approach to creating impactful solutions for clients. Team members work closely with a seasoned group of creatives, developers, strategists, and marketers to help clients across North America define their competitive advantage, strengthen audience relationships, and drive engagement.

The Position:

The Senior Account Executive role focuses on helping clients solve marketing challenges with business acumen and by building trusting relationships that ensure clients see maximum return on their investment. Our client doesnt sell products, tactics, or projects it builds marketing entities and fosters long-term partnerships. The Accounts team has forged its own path in business, marketing, and project management, acting as an extension of each clients team. Through true partnership, the team listens closely, builds trust, and manages client investments as if they were their own.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and nurturing strong relationships that foster trust and open communication. Act as a client advocate within the agency, ensuring their needs and goals are understood and met through strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop tailored, data-backed marketing strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that not only meet client goals but also showcase the agencys strategic value as a long-term partner.
  • Focus on client retention by ensuring a high level of satisfaction through regular check-ins, proactive problem-solving, and delivering measurable results. Address client concerns promptly, seek feedback to enhance services, and continuously reinforce the agencys value as a long-term partner.
  • Identify and present annual marketing plans to clients, aligning recommendations with data-driven insights and their long-term business objectives. Leverage consultative sales techniques to build buy-in, helping clients understand the value of committing to a full-year strategy with the agency.
  • Take ownership of the sales process by forecasting potential revenue from client partnerships and working toward closing annual plans and renewals. Consistently monitor sales targets, assess pipeline strength, and ensure alignment between agency resources and forecasted client needs.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, using data insights to assess effectiveness and make proactive recommendations. Clearly demonstrate how marketing efforts impact client ROI, using performance metrics to inform strategy updates and secure buy-in for additional services or plan adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of sales experience, ideally in a client-facing role within a marketing or agency environment.
  • Strong business acumen: Demonstrates an understanding of market dynamics and client industries, with the ability to link marketing efforts to revenue outcomes and effectively attribute ROI.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or clients: Skilled in overseeing various accounts and project timelines concurrently, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills: Proven ability to build rapport, foster trust, and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Analytical mindset: Skilled in interpreting data and using insights to make strategic recommendations that align with client objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills: Articulate in presenting ideas and solutions both verbally and in writing, with a client-centric focus.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated: Demonstrates a results-driven approach, proactively managing client accounts to exceed expectations and meet sales targets.
  • Strong organizational skills: Capable of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously, with keen attention to detail and prioritization skills.
