Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Account Manager for our Commercial Business sector, based in the Ottawa area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving business growth in the commercial space. You thrive on building strong customer relationships, exceeding expectations, and embracing challenges with a positive, “can-do” attitude. You bring a diligent work ethic, a genuine, team-centered approach and have a strong desire to succeed in a competitive environment.

Your innovative thinking and proactive approach have a proven track record in creating opportunities, driving revenue, and enhancing customer engagement from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships with new prospect accounts to generate opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and work with internal teams and partners to deliver compelling solutions.
  • Articulate our company's value proposition to new prospects and existing customers through trade shows, presentations, proposals, RFx responses, and business correspondence.
  • Develop and execute account plans for key clients, outlining strategies for retention and growth, along with an understanding of the partner landscape.
  • Identify and connect with decision-makers and key influencers.
  • Maintain strong relationships internally and externally, employing a franchise methodology with key partners and distribution channels.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to negotiation, ensuring an exceptional customer experience at every stage.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity by understanding customer procurement practices and collaborating with leadership for visibility.
  • Engage key partners to create joint account and market development opportunities that lead to new solutions and revenue streams.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technology sales, particularly in IT services, with a strong sales performance record.
  • A history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Familiarity with sales life cycles, account planning practices, and reseller markets.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong focus on execution.
  • A proven team player who prioritizes collaboration.
  • Secret Security Clearance or the ability to attain sponsored by Decisive Group.
