Position: Manager, Trade Development Reports to: Director, Business Development

We are looking for a Manager, Trade Development to join our Sales and Business Development team. This role will drive trade development, including budget development, management and processing of deductions, broker management for trade, trade management system, and internal reporting to assist with the sales planning process. You will manage the Trade Invesment activities for the organization.

Opportunities

In this role, you will manage accurate sales forecasting processes, trade plans, processes, and systems as well as lead and develop at least one direct report. It will be critical not to lose sight of the big picture and strategy while demonstrating your analytical capabilities and working collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Knowledge & skills

  • You have a Degree/Diploma in Business or related discipline
  • You have an strong understanding of trade spend management in CPG
  • You have solid organizational and project management skills
  • You have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • You have excellent computer skills including MacOS and MS Office with excellent proficiency at Excel, including development of pivot tables

Experience

  • You have 3-5 years of relevant Consumer Product Goods experience
  • You have a proven track record of building, managing, and leading a high functioning team
  • You have experience managing trade systems
  • You have experience with an annual planning process, as it relates to trade investment and deduction management and sales forecasting

Nice-to-Have

  • MacOS Experience
  • Experience working in Exceedra Trade Spend Management (TPM) software or other similar software

things you will do…

  • Lead Trade Promotion Management system execution, maintenance, and training
  • Become an expert on the inner workings of the TPM tool, functionality, and output
  • Own forecast process & communication from Sales to internal teams
  • Support the Director of Business Development with the development and execution of the organization's annual planning process at it relates to trade. Support the development of the trade budget and forecast process & communication from Sales to internal teams.
  • Throughout the year your will need to ensure that deductions are cleared, promotions are closed, and promotional plans are updated so that actuals and forecasts are accurately represented and tracked with your insightful reporting
  • Lead weekly & monthly internal meetings to report on key outputs and communicate variances
  • Support trade strategies and analysis for each brand and product line
  • Develop and maintain trade tools
  • Manage Exceedra and broker relationships for TPM

OTHER …

  • You may work at varied times on occasion, as the job requires
  • You may be required to travel infrequently to attend sales meetings or supplier conferences.

Salary - 85,200.00 - CA$105,000
