About the Role
Are you looking for your next opportunity in the insurance industry? MutualONE is looking for a Manager of Distribution and Marketing to join our team. Reporting to the President and CEO, you will play a crucial role in managing, supporting, and guiding our agents and brokers to achieve individual and collective business objectives. You will drive the profitability and growth of our distribution network and manage corporate marketing/branding initiatives. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in management and business development within the insurance industry.
Desired Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Extensive experience in the insurance industry with a focus on sales, distribution and marketing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing insurance agents/brokers and achieving operational objectives.
- Strong business and sales acumen with excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Effective networking skills to foster a positive working environment and enhance collaboration.
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
Responsibilities
- Act as Liaison between the operation and the agent/broker network to ensure flow of communication and assist in providing solutions to escalated concerns.
- Manage the agent/broker relationships, which includes establishing, implementing and monitoring performance standards.
- Generate and analyze reports on agent/broker performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development, execution and reporting of strategic distribution initiatives.
- Develop tools, guides and other resources for agent/broker partners, including hosting presentations and training sessions.
- Work with senior management to develop and manage budgets related to distribution, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in resource allocation.
- Work closely with internal departments such as underwriting, claims, and accounting to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
- Develop, lead, and monitor marketing/branding campaigns and business development initiatives.
- Maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of the marketplace, products, industry trends and competition.
Business Development Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit new distribution partners to expand the company's market presence.
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve profit/growth targets.
- Collaborate to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with agent/broker partners, ensuring their needs are met and aligning their goals with company objectives.
